The inside of Christ Church is rather splendid. On entering, it is far bigger than it looks from the outside, and you feel the space upwards as well as outwards. This does make it rather difficult to photograph though! We only have a 'point and shoot' camera with a built in flash, which is most inadequate for a building of this size, and most of our photographs are very dark, some of which we had to abandon as no detail could be seen. Another problem for the photographer is the stone pillars dividing the nave from the two aisles - when stood from the back one cannot see through to the aisles, so the photographs make the church appear rather narrow.
Excuses made, we hope you enjoy the photographs we do have and that they will give you an idea of what the inside of Christ Church is like.
