Number 8-9 Regent Street is located in the shopping centre of Swindon. The building is relatively modern but prior to this building, two other buildings were on this site - Pooles & Butler at No. 8 and Philip H. Mason at No. 9. Mandy's father has a receipt for furniture bought at Pooles & Butler by a relative on 27th April 1878 for 'Chest Stained Drawers and a Pair of Dressing Tables' which came to the grand sum of two pounds, 7 shillings and 6 pence.
