Potterne, Wiltshire
Potterne is a short distance from the market town of Devizes in Wiltshire. The main road through from Devizes is very busy and traffic thunders through missing all the beautiful architecture on offer. We have a few photographs to whet the appetite but there is so much more to see. Perhaps the most noticeable are the old black and white timber framed houses. It would take weeks to photograph everything here!
The village website at: www.potterne.net tells us that people have lived in Potterne for around 10,000 years, probably because there are numereous sources of water in the area. The website has all sorts of information - use the links on the left and top tabs to navigate around.
