This is the grave of two Richards and two Margarets Rudler and is located in the east side of the churchyard at St. Mary's church, close to the chancel wall.
The tomb is Grade II listed, as part of a group of nine chest tombs. According to the Historic England website, another name is attributed to this tomb - that of
Sarah Jotham, 1805, but the name is not included in any of the panels we have photographed.
As you will see from photograph 1338 below, one side of the tomb is covered, so perhaps the hidden panel has details for Sarah. Or perhaps the inscription was on the top of the tomb but is now too eroded to be read.
