This is the tomb of the Robert, Sarah, Amelia and Jane Mary Large.  Considering it dates from the late eighteenth century it is in good condition and some of the delicately carved decoration can still be seen despite centuries of harsh British winters.  Nonetheless the inscription is difficult to read.

We have taken several photographs of the inscriptions, hoping different angles will help decipher the text.  We managed to transcribe most of Robert and Sarah's inscriptions but not all.  If you should know what the inscriptions are please contact us so we can update this page to correct any errors.  Thank you.

Who died 24th Feb: 1789 Aged 47 years.
Farewell my loving Wife and Children dear
Whome I have left behind in Grief and Care.
But God Will for you all provide
If you make him your truest Guide.
