Clifton Street Primitive Methodist Church, Swindon, Wiltshire, England
Clifton Street Primitive Methodist Church has long since been demolished. Clifton Street is in the Old Town area of Swindon and the space where the church was now has two modern houses built on it; there is an alley to the right side and at the end of it is an entrance to Radnor Street Cemetery.
Duncan's mother's family worshipped at this church and we are fortunate that these photographs have been passed down the family to us. Below are photographs taken at the weddings of Annie (nee Austin) to William Scott and their daughter Doris (nee Scott) to Harold Ball; both marriages took place in this church.
Please note that the first four photographs are copyrighted and you should not copy them without first contacting the copyright owner for permission. The photographs are by 'Hooper' of Swindon and the copyright is owned by a relative of Mr Hooper, Mr Paul Williams. Should you wish to contact Mr Williams, please email us and we will forward it on to him.
We are very grateful to Mr Williams for permission to copy our originals to share with you here on this page.
