We know of eleven Blue Plaques in Swindon – if you know we have missed any please let us know.

For many years there were only two plaques – the First Free School and the Egbert of Wessex – yet Swindon has many buildings of historic significance and plenty of people worthy of the honour.  Recognising this, the Swindon Heritage team have set about putting that right and have raised funds and organised installation of nine more plaques over the last few years.  No doubt there will be more to follow.
