This building was built in 1898 as part of the shops of New Swindon to serve the railway workers.  Although obviously then a building in its own right, for some time it has been amalgamated with two of it's neighbours in Bridge Street and another round the corner in Fleet Street to make a much larger premise.  We think (but are not sure) it was number 18.
