Canal Walk, as the name suggests, follows the path that the Wilts and Berks Canal used to take through Swindon. Now it is part of the shopping centre of Swindon and is built on or paved over.

Please note that we became very confused when trying to find the address of some of the businesses. In one section of Canal Walk we found at least three different addresses for each shop! Some addresses just use 'Unit x', some use ' x The Lock', some just 'Canal Walk', some are covered by '1-14 Canal Walk' even though the shop only takes up one unit, and some a combination of them all.
After lots of head scratching, we have decided to take the common factors from each address and thus call this particular block 'x The Lock, 1-14 Canal Walk SN1 1LD.'
