We don't have many photographs of the inside of the Centre but will endeavour to take more.  The Swindon Borough Council handed over the running of the Centre to the Mechanics Institution Trust in 2014.  The rooms can be hired and Mandy is a member of one group that regularly meets here (The Swindon Community Choir).  She has observed the Trust gradually changing and upgrading the kitchen and toilet facilities since they took over.  Whilst not meaning to put down the Council's workers, the Trust's volunteers that she meets each week are very friendly and helpful - maybe this shows the difference between people being paid to do a job and volunteers doing it.  The volunteers have passion for this building and want it to succeed to secure its future.
