This beautiful building looks sorely neglected.  Most of these photographs were taken a year apart (so we have duplicates of some pictures) and even in that short time the upper decoration has deteriorated dramatically.  It just goes to show that it pays to have continual maintenance because if you let things slip it will no doubt cost a small fortune to put things right.

You will see from the list of business that have been in this building that it has had a long history but our favourite photograph of it must be when it was a Boys YMCA Club in 1937 - click the first entry in the 'At this address' list above to see it.
