These two sculptures date from 2011 - the first is located in College Street (see Map) and the second is in Edgeware Road (see Map), both are side roads leading to the shops on Regent Street.  The lights, which aren't showing up well in these photographs (as it was day-time) are motion sensor controlled and switch on as someone approaches them are supposed to be a guiding beacon towards the shops.

According to Mark Child's 'The Swindon Book' they each cost £38,000 and were designed by Arup Engineering with Nicholas Pearson Associates and created in association with Peter Freeman of Nancledra, Cornwall.
