Swindon, Wiltshire
These were noticed as we walked along Beckhampton Street into Princes Street in Swindon. We don't know who put them there, when, why or anything else about them other than they are there. If you are able to tell us anything about them, please let us know and we'll update this page.
The leaves are almost as though they have fallen during autumn and started to decay but left their imprint on the paving. In fact we noticed a couple at first and thought it was a leaf stuck to the pavement but when we then saw the others we realised it was painted on. What a nice little bit of artwork for us to enjoy.
Please add a new paragraph after the others (ie so it is 3rd para): The leaves had gone when we returned in February 2016. Somehow their short life adds to their story of fragility.
