We are very grateful to a friend who lent us some of the photographs below. Our only photographs of the police station were taken as we drove past it in June 2005 - they were nearly deleted because they were not very good and we thought we would go back and take some better ones. However, we didn't get around to it and in March 2006 we drove past it to find it was being demolished. We had missed our chance. On hearing our story, our friend dug through her albums and found these. She cannot remember when they were taken and if you can help, please let us know.
As demolition commenced we took some photographs, returning a few times, then took some of the new construction work and the site when finished. The site is now called Kimmerfields (after being changed from Union Square before it was even completed!), and now contains Kimmerfield Court and the Whalebridge car park. These photographs can be seen at:

The main police station for Swindon now is located in nearby Stratton St. Margaret, called Gable Cross, although there are some 'police points' dotted around Swindon.
