Swindon's weather seems mild compared to the rest of the country.  If we have strong winds we know elsewhere there have been gales and structural damage, if we have heavy rain we know elsewhere there have been floods.  So when we have snow it can almost feel exciting.  Well, at least for the kids!  Us adults love the look but not the problems caused by it.  But everything looks lovely in the snow, so here are some photos we took on those rare occasions it happened in Swindon over the last few years.

We start with a photograph of Duncan's great great grandmother Sarah Tydeman, taken in Sanford Street many years ago.  Then we continue with a journey in January 2010 from West Swindon into the town centre, followed by a walk around The Lawns in 1999.
