Chiseldon is a small village a few miles south of Swindon, just off the road to Marlborough.
Holy Cross is usually kept locked due to previous vandelism - someone actually started a fire inside the church. We were lucky to time our visit when a church member was there and we were invited to go inside. Our thanks go to that person for taking the time to talk to us about the building and its history, and to allow us to take these photographs. Sadly we were unable to stay inside long enough to take photographs of all the wonderful objects there are to see inside the church. The walls have many memorials - it was a lovely sight for someone interested in genealogy!
The church of the Holy Cross is a Grade I listed building - more information about the listing can be found at the British Listed Buildings website.
