St. Mary the Virgin, Longcot, Oxfordshire, England

The church of St. Mary the Virgin at Longcot is a small but beautiful place to visit.  Inside there is a feeling of serenity - a peaceful place to spend a while.  The church members were very welcoming and obviously care a great deal about their building, which had recently undergone necessary repairs when we visited in June 2002.  The newly varnished wooden pew floors looked splendid.

The history leaflet available inside the church is easy to read yet full of factual information about the church and the village.  Any dates and information shown on these pages are taken from this leaflet.

The church is a Grade II* listed building - more information about the listing can be found at the  British Listed Buildings  website.
