St. Mary the Virgin, Vernham Dean, Hampshire, England
We first visited the church of St. Mary the Virgin in Vernham Dean on a rather dull day in May 2004. It was rather difficult to find but thankfully a signpost in the village by The George Inn guides the visitor up the small winding road to their destination. We returned in May 2005 to find the church being repaired - the west wall had been partially removed and showed what it had been built of and the thickness of the wall.
The church is a Grade II listed building - more information about the listing can be found at the British Listed Buildings website.
