Fovant is to the west of Salisbury, the county capital of Wiltshire. We have visited a few times but mainly to visit the parish church of St. George or the military badges, so don't have many photographs of Fovant itself. If you would like to 'wander' around Fovant, try clicking on the 'Map of Area' link above and then use the 'streetview' facility.
Fovant appears to be both a sleepy village and an active one! Some beautiful houses, a stream running through, churches, village shop and hall all give the impression of a slower pace of life, but those gardens need a lot of looking after and people always seem to be busy in them.
If you ever get the chance to visit Fovant yourself, we can recommend you take time to stop off at the Badges on the way, and a trip to St. George should also be on your list.
There's all sorts of interesting things at the
Fovant History Interest Group website.
