The church of St. Mary the Virgin at Longcot is a small but beautiful place to visit.  Inside there is a feeling of serenity - a peaceful place to spend a while.  The church members were very welcoming each time we have visited and obviously care a great deal about their building.  On our first visit back in June 2002 some necessary repairs had been completed and the newly varnished wooden pew floors looked splendid.  Our next visit was not until September 2016 when the church was open as part of the Heritage Open Days event - there were people there to show visitors around and even offered the chance to have a go at bell ringing.
