Near this Place lieth the Body of
Mrs ELIZABETH HALE Widow
the youngest Daughter of OLIVER PLEYDELL
late of this Place Esq.
(who was directly descended from WILLIAM PLEYDELL Esq.
of COLESHILL in this County in the time of
EDWARD the fourth)
and MARTHA his Wife who was Daughter of
JOHN BRIND of WANBROUGH in the County of Wilts Gent
they had three Sons and four Daughters, Viz:
John, Thomas, Anne, Martha, Mary, Elizabeth, Oliver,
John died a Batchelor, Thomas Married Mary
the Daughter of Sr. GEORGE PRAT of COLESHILL Bart.
ANNE Married SAMUEL ASH of LANGLEY
in the County of WILTS Esq.
MARTHA Married CHRISTOPHER THOMLINSON
of LONDON Merchant.
And after his decease, Sr. ROBERT BROOKE of
NACTON in the County of SUFFOLK Bart.
MARY Married THOMAS GODDARD of SWINDON
in the County of WILTS Esq.
ELIZABETH Married THOMAS HALE
of LONDON Gent. OLIVER died a Batchelor
MRS ELIZABETH HALE died the 4th of February 1721 in the 70th
year of her Age, who by Will orderd her Executor,
Mr. PLEYDELL GODDARD of LONDON Merchant, to Erect this
Monument in Commemoration of her Father, Mother, three
Brothers, & her Sister the Lady BROOKE,
Who all near to her lie interrd here:
And sleep in the LORD JESUS, in hope of a blessed Resurrection
