Fleming Way is in the centre of Swindon and was named after one of Swindon's greatest football players Harold John Fleming.  It follows the route of the former Wilts and Berks Canal and starts at the junction with Milford Street and goes along to the Magic Roundabout which is in front of the County Ground football stadium where Harold played.

We only have photographs of approximately one third/a half of the length of the road, starting at the junction with Milford Street and going to just past Kimmerfields (initially named Union Square).  The area of Kimmerfields has been redeveloped over the last few years to be unrecogniseable from the past Whale Bridge Roundabout, police station, and car showroom - all demolished to make way for a health centre, car park, accommodation and hotel.  In view from the area is a mural by Ken White showing how the area looked when the Canal came through it - including the hump back bridge which gave it the name Whalebridge.
