Rodbourne Road grew with the Great Western Railway works, dominated by the enormous brick wall to the side of the works. With the closure of the works some of the workshops became the Designer Outlet Village, which used a significant amount of the old buildings. Rodbourne Road today has many small shops along its length with housing mostly behind them, and a pub and the old Mechanics Institute Reading Rooms.
We have a couple shots of Rodbourne Road followed by individual buildings. Some of the buildings have more photographs - click the link underneath it to see them.
Our photographs are a snapshot in time to record a building's history.
Businesses shown may no longer be trading there.
