Rodbourne is an area of Swindon primarily of housing built originally for the (now closed down) Great Western Railway workers. It has a row of shops serving the community and the usual pubs, churches and community rooms. Many Swindon residents know Rodbourne also for the terribly conjested Bruce Street Bridges which still delay traffic despite having millions of pounds spent on it a few years ago to improve the flow.
If you have an interest in Rodbourne do take a look at the website of the
Rodbourne Community History Group who are committed to collecting the history of this area.
