tratton St. Margaret lies north of Swindon. Where both communities have expanded over recent years the two seem almost joined. The name is a corruption of Street-town, from the Roman road (Ermin Street) around which it was built.
We have visited many church buildings over the years, and some you know are neglected, dusty and in decay, and some are well used and cared for. St. Margaret's comes into the latter category. It feels like a true community church; a busy church, it has a vitality and a welcoming atmosphere.
